HYDERABAD, Dec 9: The executive committee, Government Secondary Teachers Association, Sindh, at a meeting held here on Monday severely criticized the provincial finance and education departments for failing to implement the decisions taken at a joint meeting of the officials of the department and representatives.

The acting president of the association, Allah Dino Mallah, was in the chair.

The meeting warned that if the problems of the secondary teachers were not resolved latest by Jan 10, the association would launch a protest movement throughout the province.

It decided to meet again at the Pilot Higher Secondary School, Larkana, to chalk out the future course of action.

It demanded that they should be replaced with senior officers from schools. It also demanded that ban on transfers of teachers should be lifted and transfers on political basis should be stopped forthwith.

It stressed an urgent need of filling the vacant posts of headmasters and the dismissal of the EDO, education, Sukkur, Ms Rafia Naz.
