PESHAWAR, Dec 8: An MPA of the Pakistan Peoples Party (Sherpao), Ms Ghazala Habib, has challenged the non-allocation of development funds to her constituency in the Peshawar High Court.

In a writ petition, Ms Tanoli, daughter of former provincial minister Habibur Rehman Tanoli, prayed the high court to direct the NWFP government to provide funds to her constituency.

The petition stated that funds had not been allocated to her constituency in the special development schemes, the ADP and the Khushhal Pakistan Fund despite the fact that her constituency — PF-57 — had a population of 170,445 persons. It comprised the upper Tanawal area of Mansehra, including 10 union councils, she added.
