Hasan stuns Zindani
KARACHI, Dec 5: Hasan Fayyaz caused a surprise in the 8th Karachi Club (KC) Open Snooker Tournament by beating Abdul Samad Zindani in straight frames at KC Billiards Hall on Thursday.
Hasan looked in fine cue control while downing veteran Zindani.
The event will be played in two phases. Top eight players to emerge from the first phase will join Pakistan’s top eight in Rs75,000 tournament which will be played from Dec 10 to 15.
Last year’s first winner Qasim Kamani launched his campaign in a superb fashion handing out a 3-0 defeat to Ali Midget.
World Championship runner-up Saleh Muhammad won the main event last year by beating Khurram Agha.
