GUJRANWALA, Dec 5: The investigation team of the Sialkot jail incident once again failed to submit chargesheet with the Anti-Terrorism Court No 1 on Friday, claiming that the IGP has taken back the report following expression of no confidence on it by the complainant.
Meanwhile, a member of the team, DSP Muhammad Younis Butt, expressed his inability to continue with his assignment.
The investigation team in-charge, Kasur DPO Ghulam Muhammad Kalyar, told the court that the IGP had withdrawn the report (prepared by them) on the reaction of the complainant.
However, judge Iftikhar Hussain Shah took serious notice of further delay in submission of the chargesheet and issued show-cause notice to IGP Syed Masood Shah for Dec 6 (today).
The court ordered that the chargesheet should be presented before it on the next date of hearing.
Earlier, additional judge Muhammad Yousaf, the complainant, said he had not expressed dissatisfaction over the investigation report.
