Diplomats visit museum

PESHAWAR, Dec 5: French ambassador to Islamabad Pierre Charsse and Iraqi diplomats visited Peshawar Museum on Thursday, a press release said.

French Cultural Counsellor was also accompanying the French ambassador and was briefed by director archaeology and museums, NWFP, Prof Dr Ihsan Ali.

The French ambassador, while appreciating contributions of the local archaeologists, desired to visit other museums in the province.

Officials said that it was the responsibility of the international community to contribute towards preservation of the Frontier’s cultural heritage.—Bureau
