GHALLANAI (Mohmand Agency), Dec 4: Five army troops were wounded, two of them seriously, on Thursday when an unexploded ordnance went off in Mohmand Agency, officials and witnesses said.

Three wounded soldiers were rushed to the Combined Military Hospital Peshawar where two soldiers were stated in critical condition, sources said.

Officials said the incident occurred in mountainous region near Afghanistan’s border, some 70 kilometres west of Ghallanai.

They said that an unexploded arsenal went off in Khuzai Mamadkor, which wounded five soldiers on the spot. The soldiers were bringing stones to build bunkers along the Afghan border, they added.
