Patriots to get more share in cabinet: minister

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Dec 4: More members of the PPP (Patriots), a splinter group of the People’s Party Parliamentarians, will become ministers when the federal cabinet will be expanded, hinted Defence Minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal.

He was talking to reporters after attending a literary function here on Thursday.

Sources said Mr Iqbal and Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat, in their meeting with Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Wednesday, had demanded inclusion of at least three more ministers in the federal cabinet.

“There will be some share of Patriots in the expansion of the cabinet,” the minister told the newsmen.
