KARACHI: PIA reshuffles management

KARACHI, Dec 4: Besides appointing two more deputy managing directors in view of expanded flight operations after restoration of air links with India, the PIA management has appointed more directors to supplement the airline’s growing responsibilities.

AVM Niaz Hussain Shah, director engineering, has been appointed DMD (operations) and Farooq Shah, director administration has been promoted as DMD (administration).

The PIA management has also promoted Col (rtd) Ahsan Siddiqi, general manager passenger services, as director airport services, and Mudassar Asghar, general manager, facility management and sports, as director works.

Waseem Bari, director airport services, has been transferred and posted as director administration. Azeem Zafar, general manager Skyroom Airport Hotel, has been transferred and posted as GM passenger services. Fazal Ahmed, OSD, has been posted as general manager Skyroom Airport Hotel.

Directors finance, general services and corporate planning, will report to deputy managing director finance, Kaleem Malik. Directors administration, works, quality assurance and special project, will report to DMD administration Farooq Shah.

Directors engineering, precision engineering, airport services, flight service and information will report to DMD operation Niaz Hussain Shah. Director marketing Kamran Hasan and director flight operation Capt Asif Raza will report directly to chairman PIAC.—APP
