Japan welcomes Pakistan-India peace steps


ISLAMABAD, Dec 2: Japan has hailed the decision to resume airlinks between Pakistan and India.

A statement issued by the ministry of foreign affairs said the government of Japan welcomed the joint statement issued by Pakistan and India to resume airlinks and overflights between the two countries.

Japan expressed the hope that these developments would improve Pakistan-India relations and promote mutual understanding between the peoples of the two neighbouring countries.
