HYDERABAD: Relatives seek help in locating detainees

HYDERABAD, Dec 1: Relatives of Anwaruddin Khushik, head constable Abdul Qayoom Khushik and Imtiaz Ali Kalloo, who were allegedly arrested by the police 11 days ago, have appealed to senior police officers and members of the assemblies to help locate the arrested persons.

Speaking at a news conference at the local press club on Monday, Mevo Khan, Mumtaz Kalloo and Attar Khan, residents of Kandiaro taluka, Naushahro Feroze district, said that Anwar, Qayoom and Imtiaz were picked up on Nov 21 from the residence of a retired police head constable, Mumtaz Khushik, in Matiari but their whereabouts were not disclosed to their families.

They said that for the last 11 days, they were being held incommunicado and no case had been registered against them nor were they produced in a court.
