ROJAN JAMALI, Nov 30: Appreciating the Indian response to Pakistan’s peace moves, Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali on Sunday said there was a realization on both sides that regional situation should be improved and all issues, including the Kashmir dispute, should be resolved through talks.

Talking to newsmen, he said India had given positive response to his unilateral offer for ceasefire along the Line of Control.

He said a Pakistani delegation had reached New Delhi to discuss the resumption of air links between the two countries and hoped that the talks starting on Monday would be successful.

He said Pakistan even wanted to resume direct flights on the Karachi-Mumbai and Lahore-Delhi routes.

The prime minister pointed out that the main and core issue between the two countries was Kashmir and without resolving it regional peace could not be restored.

In reply to a question, Mr Jamali said he would be more than happy to meet Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee in Islamabad during the Saarc summit.

About any agreement on the LFO with the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, he said PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain would return from abroad soon and a fresh round of talks with the MMA would be held next week.

He said the nation would hear good news on the LFO very soon.—APP
