By Our Correspondent

LARKANA, Nov 30: The speakers at a one-day seminar on AIDS International Day here on Sunday demanded the government for setting up a rehabilitation centre in Larkana.

The seminar was organized by the Earth Lovers Society (ELS).

Dr Gul Buledi accused doctors of being instrumental in spreading AIDS by using used syringes and alleged that developed countries, which had gifted missiles, rockets and bombs and the wrong political system to the world, were instrumental in spreading AIDS in the under-developed and developing countries.

Panjal Sangi, chairman, coordination council of NGOs in Sindh, said that 87.2 per cent males and 12.8 per cent females were inflicted with this deadly disease while between 70,000 and 80,000 cases of HIV positive were present in Pakistan.
