MANSEHRA, Nov 30: Leader of the opposition in the NWFP Assembly Shahzada Mohammad Gustasap Khan has said that the provincial government has failed to honour the promises it made with the people before coming into power.

He said that the MMA-led government has also failed to implement its Islamization agenda in the NWFP.

Mr Khan was speaking to reporters at an Eid party he hosted in the honour of journalists here on Sunday.

He alleged that the provincial annual development programme had been composed in violation of rules and regulation, and the directives of the chief minister were accommodated while formulating the ADP.

He claimed that the funds for uplift schemes in the province have been released only for the constituencies of Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani, Senior Minister Sirajul Haq and JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman.

The opposition leader alleged that deviation from the set rules of business and injustice being done to the elected members of the house by the MMA-led NWFP government has not only irked the opposition members, but has also annoyed a number of members of the treasury benches.

To a question he said that the MMA government should not take for granted the fall of its government by blaming its opponents of hatching conspiracies.
