NA, Senate sessions

ISLAMABAD, Nov 29: The National Assembly and Senate sessions are likely to be summoned in the second week of December, official sources said here on Saturday.

The sessions will coincide with the latest effort by President Gen Pervez Musharraf to resolve the lingering political stalemate over the Legal Framework Order (LFO), as he was likely to start a consultation process with the opposition and the government much about the same time.

Sources said the government was expected to present the amended constitutional bill first in the lower and then in the upper chamber of parliament for approval. —PPI
