KARACHI, Nov 29: The Post Master General, Sindh, Mohammad Ahmed Mian, called on City Nazim Naimatullah Khan and briefed him about various extended postal services now made available to the general public. DCO Mir Hussain Ali was also present.
These services include round the clock collection of utility bills at important post offices and establishment of a modern hospital in North Nazimabad with ambulance facilities for low-paid postal employees under the directives of Maj-Gen (r) Aga Masood Hassan, Chairman of the Pakistan Postal Management Board.
The City Nazim, hoped that the postal department would emerge successful in providing best services to the people. He stressed on upholding high and decent values which, he said, could only reflect in good manners.
The provincial also called on Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad at Governor House on Wednesday and conveyed warm and cordial Eid greetings on behalf of his department. In his separate meeting with Minister for Communications Senator Ahmad Ali, Mr Ahmed Mian apprised him of special measures aimed at prompt, efficient and flawless clearance of Eid mail.—PPI
