Julius lifts crown

KARACHI, Nov 25: Julius Pinto annexed the Karachi Goan Association All-Christian snooker title beating Jonathan Gomes 3-1 in the best-of-five final held at the KGA Hall on Tuesday.

Julius took a 1-0 lead grabbing the first frame 67/27. But Jonathan coming back strongly levelled the scores 1-1, by pocketing the second 67/18.

Julius was at his best in the third frame winning 90/12 to forge ahead 2-1.

With the final black ball on the table the scores were tied 52/52, and after both cueists under pressure missed several shots to pot the black, Julius finally came out victorious by sinking the black in the top pocket to win.

Final: Julius Pinto beat Jonathan Gomes 3-1: 67/27, 18/67, 90/12, 59/52.
