By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, Nov 24: Education Minister Zubaida Jalal said on Monday that the government was making concerted efforts to improve the quality of education and special attention was being paid to girls’ education.

Speaking at the inauguration of the new building of the Girl Guide’s House, Ms Jalal said the people of the far-flung areas of Balochistan were interested in getting education.

She said she was trying to improve the standard of education in Balochistan, consolidate the relationship between the teachers and students and provide all educational facilities in the schools.

She said that government had allocated huge funds to organize the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides and expressed the hope that the provincial government would cooperate in this regard.

She said the government, non-governmental organizations and private institutions should evolve a joint strategy to improve the quality of girls’ education in the province.
