KARACHI, Nov 24: The Works Cooperative Housing Society has contradicted with the statement of city nazim that land in Block- 19 of Gulshan-i-Iqbal pertains to the works division of federal government.
The society members, in a press statement, referred to a news item published in a section of press on Nov 18 in which city nazim had demanded of the federal government to hand over the land presently controlled by the works division, which had been transferred to the capital.
The members made it clear that the said block pertained to the Works Cooperative Housing Society and not to the works division. They maintained that the statement of city nazim had created dissension in the minds of resident members of the Works Co-operative Housing Society, which should be clarified by city nazim immediately.—PPI
