HYDERABAD: SU to hold seminar on water issue

HYDERABAD, Nov 24: The Dr M. A. Kazi Institute of Chemistry, University of Sindh, will hold a two-day national seminar on “Environmental, Social and Cultural Impacts of Water Scarcity in Sindh” in the second week of January.

The seminar will focus on water resources, biodiversity of the River Indus, environmental dimension of the river, catchment areas, downstream Tarbella, downstream Kotri and the deltaic region.

Environmental experts and eminent scholars will present their papers and share their research findings on issues related to water and environment.

Inviatations have been sent scholars to participate in the seminar. The last date to submit abstracts of papers is Dec 10.

SYMPOSIUM: The Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Sindh University, in collaboration with the Nuclear Institute of Agriculture, will organize a symposium on biotechnology on Jan 11.
