KARACHI: PML’s formal merger soon: Imtiaz

KARACHI, Nov 24: The Pakistan Muslim League will be formally merged on the return of PML chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain from abroad after Eidul Fitr.

This was stated by the Sindh Minister for Population Welfare, Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, at an Iftar party here on Monday. He said, “Formal merger would take place soon after fulfilling the legal requirements.”

When asked about the agenda of his meeting with Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali, held here on Monday morning, Mr Imtiaz said that various political, social and economic issues related to Sindh were discussed with him.

The minister expressed full satisfaction over the president’s technical committee on water resources. However, he said that he had reservations about parliamentary committee on water resources.—APP
