RSCC move into final

KARACHI, Nov 23: Rafiq Sherazi CC (RSCC) made a triumphant entry into the final of the First Ramazan Super Cup ousting KGA Gymkhana by 25 runs in the second semi-final played on Sunday at the Student’s Sports ground.

Winning the toss and deciding to have first use of the wicket, Rafiq Sherazi CC were bowled out for 188 runs in 25 overs with Saad Umer (47), Shahid Mahmood (34), Talha Khan (32) and Tahir Khan (29), entertaining a fairly large crowd with some fine batting.

Leg-spinner Hilary Rodrigues was the pick of the KGA attack, claiming three wickets for 17.

Imran Bashir weighed in two for thirty one.

Needing 189 runs for victory, KGA in their turn at the wicket could only manage 153 runs before being dismissed in 24.1 overs.

Hilary Rodrigues excelling with the willow also, was the top scorer for his side with 32 runs. Freddy D’Cruz hit up a breezy 29, with Imran Bashir and Sohail Shanker getting 20 runs apiece.

Monday’s fixture (Final): Rafiq Sherazi CC v/s Sheikh XI at 1.00 p.m.
