Improvement in standard of Islamabad parks ordered


ISLAMABAD, Nov 23: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman, Kamran Lashari, on Sunday directed improvement in the standard of various parks in the capital for promotion of healthy activities.

He issued these directives during his visit to different parks. Senior CDA officials also accompanied him.

Mr Lashari directed installation of lampposts, construction of jogging tracks, swimming polls and cycling tracks etc in the parks to facilitate the citizens.

He directed the administration of F-9 Park to simplify the registration process of Park’s court and open it to the general public.

The chairman directed reconstruction of Iqbal Hall in Sector G-7/3. Mr Lashari also directed construction of new grounds in the green belts.

Mr Lashari will also attend a three-day international health conference scheduled to be held from November 25-27 in Osaka, Japan. The conference is being organized by the World Health Organization (WHO). About 50 mayors of different cities of the world will participate in the summit.—APP
