KARACHI: Youth kills sister for misbehaving

KARACHI, Nov 23: A young man shot dead his sister in Khokhrapar on late Saturday night.

Police said that Zeeshan, 23, shot his sister, Sumaira, 19, in their house in Khokhrapar as she was misbehaving with their mother.

Following the incident, Zeeshan fled the house. The injured girl was rushed to the JPMC, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

An FIR was lodged at the Khokhrapar police station by the victim’s uncle.

BODY FOUND: A decomposed body of an elderly man was found in his house in Korangi on Sunday.

Police said that trussed up body of Fazalur Rehman, 65, was found in his house in Sector 4-D, Zaman Town.

The police said that on receiving information regarding stench emanating from the house by the neighbours, the body was found.

The victim was strangulated by some unknown persons, who also looked for valuables in the house, the police suspected.

The victim had returned to the country after his retirement from police force in Bahrain, however, the rest of his family members were still living there, the police added.

Victim’s body was brought to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for the post-mortem examination.

The police were investigating the case, but till filing of this report no arrest was made.

DIES: Body of a Coast Guard official was brought to Jinnah hospital from Ormara, Balochistan, on Sunday.

Hospital sources said that the victim, Naib Subedar Zafar Iqbal, 29, had died of bullet wounds.

Quoting the Coast Guard officials, who had brought the body, the hospital sources said that the victim had died in an encounter with some smugglers.

IGP: The Inspector General of Police, Syed Kamal Shah, has issued special directives to all the Additional IGs, DIGs, DPOs and TPOs to visit graveyards and offer Fateha at the graves of martyred policemen on Eid-ul-Fitr, adds APP.

The officers were also asked to visit the heirs of deceased and distribute Eid gifts among their children and share their joys.
