NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Nov 22: Thousands of maunds of raw cotton was reduced to ashes by fire that erupted in a ginning factory in Moro on Friday.
The Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association president and managing director of the factory, Jetha Nand, said fire brigade took three hours to reach the factory as it was called from Dadu and Moro.
Former Sindh minister for agriculture and partner of the factory, Murad Ali Shah, recalled he had contributed Rs400,000 to the district government to purchase fire-fighting equipment.”
He said Mohammadi Cotton Factory and Star Cotton Factory had also paid Rs100,000 each and funds were still lying in the bank.
