LAHORE, Nov 19: Four members of a family were buried alive as a roof of their mud-house collapsed in Koriaan village in Burki on Wednesday.

He told the police that his wife Rafia Bibi, 35, his son Allah Ditta, 13, four-year-old daughter Umme Habiba, another son Habib, 2, and niece Riffat Bibi, 14, were asleep when he left the house.

The mud-house had already been damaged due to the windstorm and rain a couple of days back, the police said.

The villagers and the police launched a rescue operation. The woman and the children except for the two-year-old were recovered dead from the debris. The injured child was rushed to a hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.
