Anselm extends Pinto

Published November 20, 2003

KARACHI, Nov 19: Julius Pinto, runner-up of the KGA snooker championship held over here a few months ago, reached the next round of the All-Christian Snooker Championship, after being fully extended by Anselm on Wednesday at the KGA Hall.

After conceding the first frame 31/51, Julius getting his act together drew abreast 1-1, pinching the next frame 52/32.

In a closely fought out final frame, Julius needed the pink and black to wrap up the match. Anselm on the other hand only needed the black to book his berth into the next round.

After a few nervous moments, Julius potted both the remaining balls on the table to emerge 2-1 winner.
