50 houses bulldozed, 25 held

SUKKUR, Nov 18: At least 50 houses in 15 villages were either bulldozed or set ablaze during a police operation against outlaws in the Bhitai police station jurisdiction on Tuesday.

The operation in the Sindh-Balochistan border area followed the killing of an ASI and injuring of three policemen by outlaws on Monday night.

The police also arrested 25 persons in different villages on charges of providing shelter to bandits who were involved in the attack on the police party.

The villages raided by the police included Pallah Marhata, Khanno Marhata, Rind Ali, Sain Bux and Salal Bachkani.
