Sheikh XI in semifinal

KARACHI, Nov 17: Sheikh XI entered into the semifinal of the Ramazan Super Cup, beating Hill Park CC by five wickets in the quarterfinal played on Monday at the Student Sports ground.

Opting to bat after winning the toss, Hill Park CC were all out for 123 in 24.2 overs. Talha Khan (3-18) and Tahir Andy (3-19) shared the bowling honours. Zafar Jadoon and Abdul Rehman with 24 runs apiece were the only batsmen who faced the Sheikh XI attack with confidence. Sheikh XI achieved the target in 20.5 overs, losing five wickets. Azhar Gul led the way to victory with an unbeaten knock of 56 runs. He was ably supported by Fouz ul Azim (30).

Tuesday’s fixture: Late Ismail Jafar CC v Godhra CC (quarterfinal) 1.15 p.m.
