Policeman killed

JACOBABAD, Nov 17: A police constable was killed while two others injured when some 30 unidentified outlaws attacked a police picket in Bhitai Colony, Kandhkot taluka, along the Sindh-Balochistan border on Monday.

The bandits fired rockets and hurled grenades at the picket besides spraying bullets.

As a result constable Nazeer Ahmed Chandio died on the spot while constables Arz Mohammad Malik and Yasin Oghai were seriously injured.

The police post was completely destroyed in the attack.

The injured constables were shifted to the taluka hospital, Kandhkot.

REINSTATED: Eleven sacked employees of the revenue department were reinstated by the DCO on Monday.

The employees were earlier dismissed from service by the revenue EDO on the charge of corruption of about Rs15 million. They included Ali Hassan Dahri, Mir Hassan, Akbar Ali Malik and Liaquat Ali Dero.
