LAHORE, Nov 16: Light rain followed by chilly wind early Sunday made Lahorites to wear pullovers.
Caused by a westerly, it was the first wave of the winter which was yet to pick up, Chief Meteorologist Shaukat Awan said.
It reduced the level of dust pollution.
The Met office recorded 2mm of rain in Township and traces at its Jail Road Observatory and the airport. The maximum temperature was 22.2 degrees C as against 24.1 degrees C of Saturday.
The Met office also reported 2-inch snowfall in Malamjabba, 10mm of rain in Dir, 6mm in Kalam, 4mm in Saidu Sharif and Sialkot, 3mm in Chitral, Murree and Darosh, 2mm in Mandi Bahauddin, Muzaffarabad and Bannu and 1mm in Jhelum and Islamabad.
It predicted scattered rain in Azad Kashmir, Gilgit and Skardu during the next 24 hours. It will remain partly cloudy in Lahore.
