The Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP), an NGO working in different parts of the NWFP, would carry out the schemes, which included construction of roads in hilly areas, water supply schemes, support programme for improvement of agriculture and livestock, levelling of land in the hilly areas for cultivation and an integrated programme for the protection and preservation of forests.

Official sources said the schemes would be carried out with the collaboration of the provincial government and the elected representatives, while the participation of community members in prioritizing the schemes and decision-making would be ensured.
