Pakistan Movement leader dies

QUETTA, Nov 14: Fazal Ahmed Ghazi, Pakistan Movement leader and a close associate of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, died on Thursday after a prolonged illness. He was 78.

Mr Ghazi’s burial was attended by a large number of people from all walks of life.

Fazal Ahmed Ghazi, who served as the president of the Muslim Student Federation in 1943, actively participated in the Pakistan Movement along with the father of the nation.

Mr Ghazi, a writer and broadcaster himself, was also associated with Radio Pakistan’s Quetta centre.

Balochistan Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani, provincial Chief Minister Jam Mir Mohammad Yousuf, Balochistan Assembly’s Deputy Speaker Mohammad Aslam Bhootani and former chief minister Mir Jan Mohammad Khan Jamali, in their separate messages, expressed deep grief and sorrow over Mr Ghazi’s death.
