KARACHI: Fishermen remanded


KARACHI, Nov 14: Judicial magistrate Karachi West, Mumtaz Ahmed Solangi, on Friday remanded 13 Indian fishermen to judicial custody till November 24, 2003.

The Indian fishermen were arrested by the Maritime Security Agency (MSA) for fishing inside Pakistan waters and violating the sea boundaries. Two Indian boats were also seized by the MSA.

The case was registered against them in the Docks police station Karachi. The police said the fishermen belonged to the district of Junagarh in India.—PPI
