4 Taliban killed along border

KABUL, Nov 14: Four Taliban fighters were killed in a late night gunfight along Afghanistan’s border with Pakistan, a local military commander said on Friday.

Dozens of Taliban fighters armed with AK-47 rifles and rocket-propelled grenades fought Afghan troops in an hour-long gunbattle from about 1am on Friday in Khost province, Khost military commander Khyal Baz Khan said.

“Four Taliban fighters were killed during the fighting,” Mr Baz Khan said by phone from Khost.—AFP
