China keen to invest in textile

KARACHI, Nov 14: China has shown interest to invest in the engineering, textile and leather industry of Pakistan.

This was announced by the E-commerce Gateway Pakistan in a statement here on Friday.

It said that a 15-member Chinese delegation led by President of Beijing Horizon Cultural Communication Company, Wei Zhang, is visiting Pakistan to explore the business opportunities available in the corporate sector.

The delegation visited the secretariat of International Trade and Industry Fair (ITIF) Asia 2004 to witness the preparations of the event scheduled to be held at Karachi Expo Centre.

The ITIF Asia 2004 which incorporates major exhibitions and conferences on textile, leather and engineering is being organized by the Ministry of Investment and Privatization in collaboration with Board of Investment and E-commerce Gateway Singapore.—APP
