KARACHI, Nov 14: Four ships carrying containers and crude oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest as the KPT authorities had already cleared the inward rush of the foreign flag vessels during the last two days. As a result, four ships, Kota Indah, MOl Sprinter to unload and load containers, Nur Yanbu to offload chemicals and Nord Viking to unload DAP fertilizer.

Sailing on the other hand was active as eight ships, Hyundai Stride, S. Coboto, Kota Indah, Mercs Sajinda, Badulu Valley, Axion, Emirates Peace and Chembulk Yokohama departed, while MOL Sprinter, Ilia, Galina-1v, Nur Yanbu and Sinar Bangka are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 69,493 tons comprising 29,713 tons of export cargo and 39,780 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Johar, with 65,000 tons of crude oil, Kota Permas, Pac Aries and Medlloyd Nelson, with containers.
