HYDERABAD: Prisoner injured

HYDERABAD, Nov 13: The Cantonment police arrested a man and recovered a revolver from his possession after he shot at and injured an under-trial prisoner in the sessions court premises here on Wednesday.

The police said the man, Ghulam Murtaza, had come to kill the prisoner, Haji Gulan, who was being tried in the murder case of his father.

Two separate cases were registered against the accused.

The injured prisoner was shifted to the Hyderabad Civil Hospital.

FOUR ARRESTED: The Nooriabad police arrested four accused of the NWFP and seized smuggled cloth and 10 revolvers from a coach (PA-0381) on the Super Highway on Tuesday night.

Separate cases were registered against them.
