KARACHI, Nov 12: As many as 20 wickets tumbled on the first day of Patron’s Trophy match between Defence Housing Authority (DHA) and Pakistan Navy at PCB Regional Academy Ground on Wednesday.
DHA recovered somewhat after a dismal 28 for seven and 41 for eight wickets to be bowled out for 122 thanks to a fighting 48 by Fayyaz Ali Shah with six hits to the boundary.
Pakistan Navy after losing their first three matches produced their best form.
Farman Shah ripped through DHA batting to finish with fine figures of five for 44.
When Navy batted they also found going tough and were skittled out for exactly 122 in 42.3 overs. Paceman Rizwan Saeed destroyed Navy batting with figures of five wickets for 20 runs in 11.2 overs and fellow pacer Nasir Khan claimed two wickets for 47 runs.

At Asghar Ali Shah Stadium, Dewan Farooqi Motors Ltd (DFML) were all out for 260 80.3 overs in their first innings against PIA due to fine half centuries by Agha Sabir and Muhammad Masroor.
Sabir struck six fours and two sixes in his 63 off 112 balls and Masroor’s 56 was laced with eight hits to the ropes.
Left-arm paceman Najaf Shah caused the early damage with three wickets for 62 runs in 24 overs. Saqlain Mushtaq captured three wickets for 40 runs in 15 runs. Medium fast bowler Ali Gohar took the other two wickets for 55 runs.
