LAHORE, Nov 11: Punjab PML-N president Zulfiqar Khosa thinks the LFO poses a more serious threat to the country than India.
In a press statement here on Tuesday, he said the current constitutional deadlock was the result of an individual’s lust for power.
He said the so-called democratic system was dying under the weight of the LFO.
Mr Khosa warned that a compromise on the supremacy of the Constitution or the sovereignty of parliament would pave the way for future military interventions.
Criticizing the government for arresting the ARD president, Mr Khosa demanded that the case should be withdrawn and the detainee set free unconditionally.
MIAN AZHAR: Meanwhile, PML-Q former president Mian Azhar said in a statement this was the time to create unity among the nation, not disunite it by registering cases against various leaders.
He said unrest among the people was on the rise and if political parties failed to play their role in solving problems, the electorate would be constrained to pin their hopes on other quarters.
He believed that the corrupt leadership could not be expected to strengthen the ruling party.
