173 villages electrified

GUJRANWALA, Nov 11: As many as 173 villages of the region have been electrified by the Gujranwala Electric Power Company (Gepco) during the current fiscal year on the recommendations of members of parliament.

This was stated by Gepco chief executive Brig Saifullah Khalid at an open court at the regional headquarters here on Monday.

He said 68 uplift projects had been completed at a cost of Rs33 million during the current fiscal year.
