SHIKARPUR: Statements recorded

SHIKARPUR, Nov 11: The seventh civil judge and judicial magistrate recorded the statements of eyewitnesses in the murder case of a newsman, Amir Bux Brohi, of Shikarpur.

One of the accused, Ghazi Sanjrani, and two eyewitnesses, Habibullah Brohi and Gul Mohammad Brohi, the uncle and cousin of the deceased respectively, were produced in the court.

The seventh civil judge and judicial magistrate, Khan Mohammad Abro, recorded the statements of the eyewitnesses under section 164 CrPC in the presence of Ghazi Sanjrani and his lawyer, Shaban Ali alias Shahbaz Ali Brohi.

Both the eyewitnesses in separate statements said that the accused, Ghazi Sanjrani, resident of Old Saddar, Shikarpur, and Waheed Murad Brohi and Ghulam Nabi Brohi, both residents of the Qadir Bux Brohi village, murdered Amir Bux Brohi by opening fire with a pistol in front of Dr Sardar Hakro’s hospital on Oct 3.

Following the witnesses’ statements, the accused’s lawyer cross-examined them.—Correspondent
