LAHORE, Nov 10: Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) has allotted the sixth Asia Cup qualifying round to Pakistan.
The decision was taken by the BFA general council meeting which was held at Saparo, Japan on Nov 3 on the eve of the fifth Asia Cup, according to Pakistan Federation Baseball and Softball (PFBS) secretary Syed Khawer Shah, who attended the meeting, announced on Monday.
Khawer said that PFBS had decided to host the event in Islamabad in the first week of October, 2004.
He said that ten countries including India, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Iran, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia and Uzbekistan with the host Pakistan would take part in this competition, which had been allotted to Pakistan for the second time.
