RIYADH, Nov 9: Saudi Arabia vowed on Sunday to hunt down those linked to a suspected Al Qaeda suicide attack at a Riyadh housing compound which killed 11 people and wounded 122.
“We will get the perpetrators no matter how long it takes,” Interior Minister Prince Nayef said.
“All those who are propelled to do these acts must stop or surrender because it would be better for them and their salvation,” he said in remarks on Saudi state television.
“There is no crime more heinous than this. It took place in the country and against citizens and a place housing Arabs and Muslims...,” he said.
Prince Nayef said the perpetrators were acting on the orders of others but did not elaborate.
“Let everyone inside and outside (Saudi Arabia) know that this country will not be shaken because we derive our strength from God,” he said, and called on citizens not to sympathise with suspected militants but to report them to authorities.—Reuters
