AJK PM welcomes bus service plan
MUZAFFARABAD, Nov 9: AJK Prime Minister Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan has said that the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service would provide divided families an opportunity to meet each other.
Speaking at a pre-Iftar press conference at the PM House here on Saturday evening AJK PM said if entry is made possible through an entry pass would be feasible and entry through visa and passport can never be acceptable to the Kashmiris, because it would make a permanent border at the line of control in the state, he added.
Commenting on the dialogue process Sikandar Hayat said talks were very essential for the resolution of all the long-standing issues, including the core issue of Kashmir. He said if New Delhi was sincere in resolving the Kashmir dispute peacefully it should stop atrocities in occupied Kashmir and shelling on the civilian population in AJK.
The AJK PM said the Muzaffarabad-Srinagar bus service was a good omen and entry for the Kashmiri people on either side of the line of control should not only made possible through Muzaffarabad-Srinagar but from other important points to help facilitate the Kashmiris to see their relatives.
He said before starting bus service India should stop targeting the innocent civilian population in AJK for creating conducive and better atmosphere.
Asked about the Chenab Formula, he said that being the leader of the Muslim Conference, he believes in the ideology of Jammu Kashmir State’s accession to Pakistan and implementation of UN SC resolutions on Kashmir to let Kashmiris decide their fate. Commenting on the exchange of delegation between Pakistan and India he said it is good but the people who go to New Delhi should adopt a unanimous approach instead to talk in different ways.—APP
