KARACHI, Nov 9: Sindh Chief Minister Ali Mohammad Mahar asserted that the provincial government had a determination to provide daily use commodities of high standard to citizens at reasonable prices and in this regard it would utilize all its available resources.

He expressed these views while talking to masses during his visits to different areas of the city on Sunday. He was accompanied by City Nazim Naimatullah Khan, Naib Nazim Tariq Hasan, Information Adviser Salahuddin Hyder, DCO Mir Hussain Ali and CCPO Asad Ashraf Malik.

The chief minister visited different markets, bazaars and stalls at Cafe Liberty Chowk, Tariq Road, Hassan Square, Water Pump, North Nazimabad and Patel Para. He mingled with general public, asked them about their grievances and directed the officers accompanying him to resolve their problems.

He inspected the stalls set up by the city government in various localities of the city for selling meat. He expressed satisfaction on display of price list at shops and sale of goods at fixed rates.

Mahar directed the concerned officers to ensure that the masses get edible items and other goods of high quality at rationalized prices. He asked them to set up maximum number of stalls in all areas of the city for this purpose and warned that no negligence in this regard would be tolerated.

He urged the business community and shopkeepers to help government for providing some relief to citizens with regard to prices of daily use commodities in Ramazan.—PPI
