KARACHI, Nov 7: An eight-year-old boy was run over by a coach on Tariq Road in Ferozabad police limits on Friday morning.
Police said that the boy, who was later identified as Imran Rafiq, a resident of PECHS, was going to school near Rabi Centre, when a speeding Data Coach (PE-3731) crushed him to death.
The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for autopsy. Following the post-mortem examination, the victim’s body was handed over to his family.
The bus driver escaped after the accident while leaving his vehicle abandoned, which was impounded by the police. However, the police were looking for the absconding driver till filing of this report.
The funeral prayers of Imran, student of Class I, were offered at Rehmania mosque.
In a hit-and-run accident, a middle aged man was killed in Korangi.
Police said that a body was found from a road in Korangi. The body was sent to JPMC where doctors after examination said that the victim, in his early 50s, died in an accident.
The body was kept at Edhi morgue after autopsy for identification.
