MMA to finalize strategy in Karachi

ISLAMABAD, Nov 6: The supreme council of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) is to meet in Karachi next week to finalize a countrywide protest programme against the government’s failure to bring the proposed draft amendments to the LFO to parliament.

This was stated by MMA’s deputy secretary general Liaqat Baloch while talking to reporters here on Thursday.

The supreme council’s meeting is being convened in Karachi to accommodate the alliance’s president Maulana Shah Ahmed Noorani who never leaves the metropolis during the month of Ramazan.

Mr Baloch said the MMA will review its policy of protest along with the combined opposition outside the parliament house in its parliamentary party meeting to be presided over by Qazi Hussain Ahmed before the start of the NA session on Friday morning.
