BADIN, Nov 6: The residents of Budhal Khan Panhwar and Jafar Khan Panhwar villages held a demonstration in Gharibabad on Thursday against the District Relief Committee and the district administration.
They were protesting against the committee and administration for failing to drain out water still standing in two villages of Badin taluka and neglecting their residents in rehabilitation work.
Talking to the protesters, villagers Budhal Khan Panhwar, Hussain Panhwar, Nawaz, Saleh Panhwar and others accused the district administration of partisan attitude in providing relief to the victims.

They said the villagers were facing problems as knee-deep water was standing in and around their houses.
The residents said their families, particularly children, were infected with various water-borne diseases.
They said because of stagnant water in the villages, at least four persons were bitten by snakes and a woman, Hawa, had died of snakebite.
