ISLAMABAD, Oct 5: The Rawalpindi Bench of Lahore High Court on Wednesday directed the Islamabad Police to produce a copy of the FIR and remand order of Javed Hashmi’s detention case.

The bench announced that it will take up the habeas corpus petition again on Monday.

Justice Mansoor Ahmad of the Lahore High Court on Tuesday reserved its order on a habeas corpus petition filed by Memoona Hashmi, challenging the detention of her father.

On Wednesday, Justice Mansoor Ahmad observed that he was not satisfied with the prosecution’s handling of the case, and directed the respondents to again appear before him on Monday.

The judge directed the respondents, Islamabad SSP, and Secretariat Police Station SHO that the copy of the FIR and the remand order should be submitted to court on or before Friday.

The judge had also asked the Assistant Advocate-General of Punjab, to assist the court on the next date of hearing.
