Brilliant hat trick by Usman

LAHORE, Nov 5: A hat trick by Usman Hayee helped Peek Freans beat Nurpur 4— 1/2 as three more matches were decided in the Seasons Canola polo tournament at LPC Ground on Wednesday.

The losing team could not add to their half goal handicap.

Agha Bilal drew first blood scoring a field goal followed by the first goal from Usman before the opening chukker ended.

In the second chukker, Usman scored another field goal and  in the next chukker completed the hat trick.

Three  goals by Samee Ibrahim, including the  match-winner  in the  fourth chukker, guided Millat Tractors to 5-4 win over  Agri Mall Oranges.

The winners started the match at a fast pace taking 2-0  lead in  the first chukker. Samee struck the first followed by a  goal from Faryal Leghari.

Both  teams scored a goal each in the second  chukker  as Millat  came  out with 3-1 lead. Ahmad Ali  Tiwana  struck  the first goal for Agri Mall. Ahmad Nawaz Tiwana blasted for Millat.

In  the  third chukker, Ahmad completed  his  hat trick by scoring back-to-back goals to restore parity 3-3.

Samee  again put Millat ahead 4-3 by scoring his second  goal in the beginning of the fourth chukker.

This  time Irfan Sheikh came to level the score 4-4 for  Agri before Samee struck the match-winner with an angular shot to seal the fate of the match.

Four goals by Agha Murtaza Ali helped Seasons Canola to beat Data Hybrid Corn 5- 2 1/2.

Seasons  made a good start when Agha scored two goals in  the first chukker.

On  the rampage, Seasons added two more goals in the  second chukker  to increase the lead 4-0.

Agha Murtaza and  Faaiz  Rahim scored a goal each.

Data  retaliated  by scoring their first goal  in  the  third chukker through Iftikhar before Agha struck the fourth goal.

Data  scored their second and final goal through Umer  Sadik in the fourth chukker. Half goal was the handicap.
